ES-111 — Operational Readiness

Determine whether the approved release scope can be operated, supported, monitored, limited, stopped, and reviewed responsibly.

ES-111 Outputs

Purpose

This page defines the outputs produced by ES-111 and how they support ES-112.

Required outputs

docs/operations/operational_readiness_overview.md
docs/operations/operational_scope.md
docs/operations/support_model.md
docs/operations/monitoring_and_observability_plan.md
docs/operations/incident_response_plan.md
docs/operations/rollback_and_stop_plan.md
docs/operations/user_transition_plan.md
docs/operations/operational_risk_register.md
docs/operations/operational_readiness_review.md
docs/operations/operational_readiness_summary.md

Output purposes

Output Purpose Downstream Use
Operational readiness overview Establishes release-to-operations context. Deployment planning
Operational scope Defines users, data, features, and limits. Transition control
Support model Defines support and escalation ownership. Operations
Monitoring plan Defines observability and action triggers. Deployment and operations
Incident response plan Defines operational issue response. Operations
Rollback and stop plan Defines control and recovery. Deployment safety
User transition plan Defines communication and onboarding. User adoption
Operational risk register Records operational risks. Risk management
Operational readiness review Records review findings. Readiness decision
Operational readiness summary States ES-112 readiness. Deployment transition

Optional outputs

docs/operations/runbook.md
docs/operations/support_contacts.md
docs/operations/pilot_feedback_form.md
docs/operations/known_limitations_notice.md
docs/operations/open_operational_questions.md

Create optional outputs only when they clarify real operational evidence.

Output quality checklist

Confirm that required artifacts exist, operational scope matches release scope, support owners are assigned, monitoring signals are defined, incident response paths exist, rollback and stop criteria are explicit, user transition plan is clear, risks are assigned, and readiness for ES-112 is documented.

Downstream use in ES-112

ES-112 uses ES-111 outputs to deploy or transition within the approved operational boundary.

Deployment depends on operational scope, support contacts, monitoring expectations, incident response, rollback plan, user transition, risks, and readiness review.

Common Pitfall

Do not create operational documents no one will use. Operational evidence must support real action.

Engineering Insight

The operational output package tells deployment what can safely happen and what must not happen.
