ES-114 Readiness Gate¶
Purpose¶
This readiness gate verifies that ES-114 is complete and that the engineering lifecycle has been responsibly closed or routed into a next cycle.
Completion standard¶
You are ready to close the cycle when each gate is satisfied or explicitly marked not applicable with rationale.
Is the learning context clear?

Was operational evidence reviewed?

Are lessons recorded with evidence, implications, actions, ownership, and routing?

Were incidents and defects analyzed for engineering learning?

Was user or reviewer feedback synthesized?

Were guardrail and AI-control lessons reviewed?

Does the backlog include evidence, priority, owner, and routing?

Is ongoing stewardship ownership defined?

Are next-cycle recommendations clear and routed?

Does the summary close the cycle and state next actions?

Exit criteria¶
ES-114 is complete when learning, improvement, ownership, and next-cycle routing are clear.
Completion¶
After completing this gate, the current engineering cycle is closed. Continue stewardship or return to the appropriate earlier Engineering Stage for the next cycle.
If not ready¶
If ES-114 is not ready, do not close the cycle.
Resolve missing ownership, unclear routing, weak evidence review, or high-risk follow-up before claiming closure.
Do not close the cycle if high-risk follow-up has no owner.
A closed cycle without ownership is not closure. It is deferred ambiguity.
