Stage mission

Determine whether the approved release scope can be operated, supported, monitored, limited, stopped, and reviewed responsibly.

Primary engineering question

Can the approved release scope be operated responsibly with clear ownership, limits, monitoring, support, escalation, rollback, and evidence?

Required evidence

  • release-to-operations evidence;
  • operational scope evidence;
  • support ownership evidence;
  • monitoring evidence;
  • incident response evidence;
  • rollback and stop evidence;
  • user transition evidence;
  • operational risk evidence;
  • readiness review evidence;
  • transition evidence.

Completion criteria

ES-111 is complete when operational scope aligns with release scope, support ownership exists, monitoring signals are defined, incident response paths are defined, rollback and stop criteria exist, user transition is planned, operational risks are assigned, operational review is complete, and ES-112 readiness is documented.

Success criteria

ES-111 succeeds when ES-112 can begin deployment and transition without guessing who uses the system, what scope applies, who supports it, what is monitored, what triggers escalation, or when to stop.

Risks if skipped

Skipping ES-111 may result in unsupported deployment, uncontrolled pilot use, missed failures, unclear rollback, user confusion, weak incident response, and operational evidence gaps.

Maintenance notes

Operational readiness evidence should be updated when release scope, operating environment, support ownership, user population, active features, AI status, or operational risk changes materially.
