Testing Readiness Summary

LMU/COICP Example

Testing Readiness Summary Example

Summarize LMU/COICP ES-109 testing evidence, passed areas, failed areas, open defects, pilot blockers, internal-review readiness, and handoff to ES-110 Release Readiness.

ES-109 Readiness Release Review Handoff

Example purpose

This artifact summarizes ES-109 Testing and Verification.

It determines whether the integrated baseline is ready for ES-110 — Release Readiness evaluation. It does not approve release, internal review, deployment, or pilot.

Summary

ES-109 verified the integrated LMU/COICP baseline for core incident creation, evidence event creation on normal paths, basic access denial, scope boundary enforcement, AI Incident Summary deferment, and regression stability.

Testing produced useful evidence, but it also exposed release-blocking issues that must be carried into ES-110.

The system is ready for release-readiness evaluation only as an internal engineering review candidate. It is not an operational pilot candidate.

Failed / incomplete verification areas

Area Status Risk
Invalid status transition rejection Failed / inconsistent Medium
Full access-control matrix testing Incomplete Medium
Evidence write failure behavior Blocked / unverified High
Complete update and handoff workflow regression Incomplete Medium
Emergency-boundary formal testing Partial / needs focus Medium
Build/test command formalization Incomplete Medium

Open defects

Defect Severity Owner ES-110 Concern
DEF-001 — Invalid status transition not consistently rejected. Medium Product Engineer Blocks operational workflow pilot unless fixed or scoped out.
DEF-002 — Full access-control matrix not tested. Medium IT security reviewer Blocks real-user pilot.
DEF-003 — Evidence write failure behavior not verified. High Architecture Review Board chair Likely release blocker for operational pilot.
DEF-004 — Emergency-boundary test not fully formalized. Medium Product Engineer / Campus Safety liaison Must be verified before pilot use.
DEF-005 — Build/test command evidence not finalized. Medium Product Engineer Must be resolved for formal readiness evidence.

Readiness for ES-110

Decision: Yes, ES-110 can begin.

Testing evidence is sufficient for a release-readiness review because it clearly identifies:

  • what passed;
  • what failed;
  • what is partial;
  • what is blocked;
  • who owns each issue;
  • why operational pilot should remain blocked unless ES-110 decides otherwise under explicit limitations.

Release-readiness posture

Internal engineering review candidate only.
Not an operational pilot candidate.

ES-110 handoff

ES-110 must decide whether LMU-COICP-RC-001 should be:

  • blocked entirely;
  • approved only for LMU internal engineering review;
  • deferred pending defect remediation;
  • or reconsidered later after defects are fixed and retested.

Given current evidence, ES-109 recommends:

Approve only for LMU internal engineering review if ES-110 accepts strict conditions.
Do not approve operational pilot.

Final testing statement

LMU/COICP is ready to begin ES-110 Release Readiness.

ES-110 must evaluate the open defects and risks explicitly. The most important unresolved issue is DEF-003: evidence write failure behavior not verified.

Continue to Release Readiness

Use the ES-109 testing evidence to make the LMU-COICP-RC-001 release-readiness decision.
