Stage mission

Move the approved operational scope into its target environment while preserving release limits, transition controls, rollback ability, user communication, and deployment evidence.

Primary engineering question

Can the approved scope be deployed and transitioned without expanding risk, losing evidence, confusing users, or weakening operational controls?

Required evidence

  • operations-to-deployment evidence;
  • deployment scope evidence;
  • deployment planning evidence;
  • environment readiness evidence;
  • deployment execution evidence;
  • transition communication evidence;
  • access and data evidence;
  • rollback validation evidence;
  • post-deployment verification evidence;
  • transition evidence.

Completion criteria

ES-112 is complete when deployment scope matches operational scope, deployment plan exists, environment readiness is checked, deployment execution is recorded, transition communication is delivered, access and data controls are confirmed, rollback or stop approach is validated, post-deployment checks are complete, and ES-113 readiness is documented.

Success criteria

ES-112 succeeds when ES-113 can begin operations and monitoring without guessing what was deployed, who can access it, what data is allowed, what features are disabled, what was communicated, or how to stop the deployment.

Risks if skipped

Skipping ES-112 may result in uncontrolled deployment, unclear access, wrong data use, disabled features becoming active, missing rollback, user confusion, and weak operational evidence.

Maintenance notes

Deployment evidence should be updated for each meaningful deployment, redeployment, environment change, access change, enabled capability change, or transition event.
